What Solomon Says About Justice

By

£0.75

Humans are intrinsically wired with a sense of justice as part of our privilege as image-bearers of God, but sin muddles the image, and keeps us from the ideal of doing justice perfectly. Individual justice often is motivated by vengeance, which is impossible to moderate effectively. Rulers and governors are established to administer mechanisms of justice in such a way that the individual’s tendency to corrupt justice might not be given a chance to succeed. The mechanisms of justice should ensure that bribery and favouritism do not have any part, and that effective justice is available to everybody, regardless of their status, situation or social power.
