Finding Refreshment on Life’s Journey: Cruising Alaska and the Mediterranean

Crusing Alaska and the Mediterranean

Has the grind of life got you weary? Are you looking for an oasis, an opportunity to cool your heels and refresh your weary bones? On the long road of life, we all need opportunities to recharge our batteries, reconnect with family and friends, and reconsider the direction God has for our lives. This summer, two unique Insight for Living cruises will allow you to do just that.

On our Insight for Living 2011 Cruise—The Great Alaskan Family Adventure—share a meaningful time with other believers as Chuck Swindoll addresses practical family issues with truth and encouragement from God’s Word. When we’re not exploring an Alaskan village or marvelling at glaciers and wildlife, we’ll gather on board for sessions of learning, personal interaction, and worship led by the musical talents of Don McMinn along with concerts by Scot Cameron, Buddy Greene, and others. Your children and grandchildren will love being with us, too, as they will learn and grow spiritually in their own fun and creative environments. Children’s pastor Dave Carl and youth pastor Jason Stevenson—both from Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas—are already preparing to make this a life-impacting trip for your children. Use this incredible opportunity to get away from it all and focus on things that matter.

Later in the summer, our Insight for Living 2011 Mediterranean Cruise—Meeting Our Heroes at Ancient Sites—will allow you to dream a little as you experience the history and culture of the Mediterranean world on both land and sea. Along the way, through visits to significant sites and the impersonations of actor and Dallas Theological Seminary professor Reg Grant, you’ll be introduced to many of your spiritual heroes . . . people whose names you know well, such as the king David and the apostles Paul and John, as well as heroes you will have never heard of. The twelve-day trip will take us to cities rich in biblical heritage, such as Athens and Ephesus. We’ll also experience the intriguing traditions of Istanbul; the historical significance of Katalokon, Greece, near the birthplace of the Olympics; early church history in Split, Croatia; and the beauty of the Aegean islands of Mykonos and Santorini. Each place has its own story to tell. With frequent teaching from Chuck, historical presentations from such gifted speakers as Dr. Mark Young, president of Denver Seminary, and top-notch musical entertainment from Steve Green, this cruise is sure to be unforgettable.

For each of us, the journey through life as a follower of Jesus has moments that are long and arduous. Don’t miss this opportunity for refreshment with biblical teaching and spiritual depth. These cruises are far more than a typical summer holiday. They are life-altering adventures you’ll treasure the rest of your years. Join us on one or both of these upcoming cruises: the Insight for Living 2011 Alaska Cruise, 2nd – 9th July 2011, and the Insight for Living 2011 Mediterranean Cruise, 28th July – 9th August 2011.
