What Solomon Says About Purity

By

£0.75

Our society has drifted – if not catapulted – away from a Biblical view of purity, particularly with regards to sexual ethics and norms. Solomon’s wisdom is completely in line with the rest of the scriptures in that the best-case scenario is for young men and young women to “wait and stay.” Wait for the right partner, and then stay faithful. This is so contrary to the chaos of today’s culture that it almost seems foolish to even suggest it. But just because the message is ignored doesn’t mean the message is wrong. A positive, practical approach has a better chance of turning the tide, or at least giving the next generation time to think the issue over. Parents should be careful to communicate wisdom in a way that is appropriate yet honest, while those who might have already taken the wrong road can still find peace and restoration in Christ.
