Solitude. Obscurity. Monotony. Reality. These were the tools God used to prepare His servant, David, for the throne. For many years a shepherd, David distinguished himself as a faithful man. Small wonder that the Lord, while searching the earth for a man after His heart, landed on Jesse’s youngest son.
