On the roof of a house in Joppa, God showed Peter that the Jewish Christians (such as Peter) shouldn’t exclude the Gentiles from the Gospel – that in Christ there was no longer to be such a distinction. The lesson didn’t dawn on Peter easily. Imagine his surprise when he immediately received an invitation into a Gentile household!
