Most of us would drop our busy schedules and hurry to help a dear friend who really needed us to be there. But when Lazarus became ill, Jesus didn’t go to his side immediately. He seemed to purposefully wait until the situation was as bad as it could get – Lazarus died. The sceptic might ask “Why the delay? What was He trying to prove?” As it turns out, that’s exactly the right question.
